Statistically, people fail at most things they set out to do. As kids we’ve been told we can become whatever we want – so we had big dreams right? We thought we were unstoppable. We dreamed about becoming Doctors, Lawyers, Astronauts, a professional sports person…or as my kids once said, the Tooth Fairy – what the…??
But it doesn’t stop there. As teenagers we’re still holding on and dream of a life full of exotic cars, widgets, gadgets, beach resorts and royalty like travel.
Children’s sub-conscious minds are locked full of great ideas, success and excitement and as adults it’s wrong not to encourage and support this! We know often that as soon as those kids get a taste of the real world – they settle! They see what’s Hard. They settle for the 9 to 5 – just like 98% of others.
Those dreams? Gone! Ka-put! Life is now destined to be congruent with a pay cheque – and for 98% of people, this is where they stay.
Compliant with the work-clock.
Too scared to move.
Complacent.
Comfort Zoned.
Little do most know that they’ve been conditioned since they were 5 years old to study hard, find a job, then retire broke!

Matt and Roz chose to quietly look outside of the traditional job-like parameters and start another income stream from home, stay laser focussed on their dream lifestyle and work hard to get it – then they love to pay it forward and help others do the same.
Visionary thinkers, Roz and Matt understood to get ahead in life, they needed to learn about multiple income streams – not just relying on one. They attended webinars online when time was limited, they attended live events in Auckland and also booked in workshops overseas to learn from successful entrepreneurs so they could develop the skills needed to get ahead.

Roz: I know that you attend different events on increasing your personal wealth and I see that personal and professional development for you is critical. Why is that?
Financial Freedom is a goal of ours – much like most people – so learning about how to increase my income gives me new ideas on creating this. Most people live payday to payday and I didn’t want to live like that. Also, meeting and connecting with new people is always fun. I know the market place pays on the value you bring but the only thing that determines your value is your skill-set. That’s why I do personal and professional development.
Matt: Where do you see yourself in 3 to 5 years?
In short, I see myself helping others be the best version of themselves. After watching Darren Hardy from Success Magazine present on stage in the States I was inspired and motivated. I needed to be that same person on-stage inspiring others! Dale, I’ve learnt that leadership is not a position or title, it is action and example and with continued learning, helping others expand and grow I know can achieve that goal.
Roz: Why is using a home business system best for you – Why not a traditional business?
We saw endless opportunities with owing a home based business. I saw a statistic in the states where 82% of females who earn $100,000 per year do it though the home business system that now I use. I thought, I want a bit of that! The system we use offers low start up costs, no risk, no contracts or obligations, opportunity for personal growth and we could keep all the money I made and invest in other areas, we worked with a cool bunch of people on the same path, we received huge tax advantages, a franchise type system, free support and training, so we just joined the dots basically!
What appealed to me most was the personal freedom. I would be my own boss, worked when and where I wanted, in around family and sports and I would be living my life on my own terms. We would have more time to do the things we wanted and we had more time to spend volunteering with family and friends. Beats 9 to 5 huh!
Matt: What does your next 12 months look like, what’s on the agenda?
The next 12 months looks full, but exciting. More travel, I’ve already booked a conference in the US again to learn more about how to become better in anything that I take on personally and professionally and learn more about wealth creation. I have plans to spend more time with family and friends, cutting back my job-hours as my residual income takes over. My inner circle of influence have created amazing lifestyles – that’s where we’re heading and this has freed up lots more time for my cricket. It’s all about lifestyle right?
Roz: Most people say they may not have time to work a business from home. What do you say to that?
Goodness, great question. ‘If you don’t want the next 5 years to be like the last, then you have to change You first. You need to decide it’ll be different. Once that decision is made then you’ll be un-stoppable. Choose a business system that’s publicly listed so you’re safe, choose an industry that’s trending and that you love; then work your a** off.
It’ll be worth it and you’ll love what you become!
Matt: If someone was to say. I don’t think I can do this, or do what you do… what would you say to them?
The only limitations you have are the ones you place on yourself. I was wanting to make a change in my life for the better – so I needed to be different, act different, think different. With the support of the team I worked with I was able to achieve that and grow a rewarding business.

Roz: So what is it exactly that is making you so excited about your financial future?
